1. License, not sale of the software
Subject to payment and compliance with this Agreement, Vant Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable except as expressly permitted, revocable-for-breach license to use the Timamu software within the device, user and major-version scope stated at purchase.
2. Personal and multi-device rights
The exact number of authorized devices and platforms is the entitlement shown on the purchase screen. A Personal purchase may be limited to one currently authorized desktop device, while a multi-device purchase may provide broader rights. Mobile store purchases may be governed by the account and family-sharing rules of the relevant store rather than the desktop authorization model.
3. Major versions and updates
Unless the purchase screen promises otherwise, a perpetual purchase grants ongoing use of the purchased major version. Vant Inc. may provide maintenance updates, compatibility fixes or security updates for that major version, but a future major upgrade may be a separate purchase.
4. Authorization and transfer
Desktop software may use signed, device-bound authorization and periodic online purchase verification. Legitimate device replacement or recovery may be supported through self-service or support controls. You may not use recovery or transfer mechanisms to maintain more simultaneous authorized devices than your purchase permits.
5. Restrictions
You may not circumvent licensing, forge entitlements, rent or sublicense Timamu, distribute modified proprietary builds, use the software to provide unauthorized shared-license access, or reverse engineer proprietary portions except where applicable law expressly gives you that right notwithstanding this restriction.
6. Your files and backups
You retain your rights in files you process. You are responsible for lawful use and appropriate backups. Timamu’s source-preserving design reduces risk but does not eliminate the need to protect important data.
7. Open-source components
Timamu may include open-source software. Those components are licensed under their own notices and licenses, and those terms control where they conflict with this Agreement for the open-source component.
8. Platform-store terms
If you obtained Timamu through Apple, Google, Microsoft or another store, the store’s terms, payment rules and mandatory license provisions also apply. The store is not responsible for support beyond obligations imposed by applicable law or its own platform terms.
9. Termination for breach
This license terminates if you materially breach it and fail to cure the breach where a cure is legally required. After termination you must stop using proprietary Timamu software covered by the terminated license. Rights that cannot lawfully be terminated remain unaffected.
10. Warranty and liability
The warranty disclaimers and liability limitations in the Timamu Terms of Use apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. Non-waivable statutory consumer rights remain in force.
