The job is the same: make the file smaller, more compatible, or ready for where it needs to go. What each Timamu app can do now is not the same.

Web

Compress images, HEIC/HEIF photos, PDFs, and supported video (H.264 MP4, MOV, and HEVC) in your browser. Convert those formats, work toward a target size, pack a folder into a ZIP, and prepare small ZIP archives on Free. Video merge is Available on Timamu Web (freemium): Free can merge up to 3 short clips (up to 60 seconds, 1080p, and 100 MiB). Premium adds bigger, longer, and higher-resolution merges, merge-and-compress, target-size workflows, larger archive batches, and 7z. Supported processing stays on your device.

iPhone, iPad & Android

Timamu Mobile is being built for local phone workflows and device integration, including Camera Roll automation when it ships. A public release is coming soon. HEIC, MOV, and HEVC are already available on Timamu Web.

Windows & macOS

Built for larger files, bigger batches, longer-running jobs and native file-system workflows. A public Desktop download is coming soon.

PLATFORM MATRIX

FILE SIZE

Tell Timamu the number you have to meet.

Large files are processed directly in your browser when your device can handle them. There is no universal size cap.

For very large or complex files, Timamu Desktop is being built to give you more processing headroom when that app is publicly available.

Reach Target works toward the size you requested. If the target cannot be met, Timamu reports the smallest valid result it found instead of pretending the target was met.

Can I convert HEIC in the browser?

Yes. Compress and convert HEIC and HEIF photos on Timamu Web to JPEG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF. Supported jobs process file content in the browser on your device. Timamu does not upload that source media to a Timamu processing server. Originals stay untouched.

Can I convert MOV in the browser?

Yes. Convert HEVC and MOV to MP4 on Timamu Web, and compress phone-created video in the browser on your device. Timamu does not upload that source media to a Timamu processing server. Originals stay untouched.

Can I upload a ZIP on the web?

Folder to ZIP is free: pack a folder into a ZIP in the browser. Choosing a small ZIP on Free is local intake for a supported prepare workflow. Timamu does not upload that source media to a Timamu processing server. Timamu unpacks it on your device, then compresses or converts the images, video, and PDFs inside. Larger archive batches and 7z are Premium. This is not a standalone extract-and-download tool.

Are Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android apps downloadable?

Not yet. Public Desktop installers and store listings are coming soon. This page does not treat internal builds as a customer release.

Can I merge videos on the web?

Yes. Video merge is Available on Timamu Web (freemium). Free can merge up to 3 short clips (up to 60 seconds, 1080p, and 100 MiB). Premium unlocks bigger, longer, and higher-resolution merges, plus merge-and-compress and target-size workflows.

Is Free lower quality?

No. Free and Premium use the same underlying quality policy for supported jobs. Premium adds workflow capacity and Premium tools rather than deliberately degrading Free outputs.
